Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience or strong interest in K-12 educational settings Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive materials Strong communication and collaboration skills Willingness to travel between schools throughout the week In this itinerant position, you'll: Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, partnering with classroom staff and parents Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet each student's unique needs Assess visual functioning and monitor student progress Support the integration of assistive technology and mobility strategies Contribute to multidisciplinary IEP teams and ongoing student evaluations Educate staff members on best practices for fostering access and inclusion This contract role is designed for about 20 hours per week, offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal commitments.
