Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching credential Demonstrated experience working with students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Expertise in differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with parents, staff, and support personnel Flexibility and adaptability in various classroom settings Passion for advocating for students and promoting inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that meets each student's unique needs Assess and track student progress, adapting instructional strategies as needed Partner with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices Communicate regularly with families, fostering positive relationships and ongoing progress reporting Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP conferences Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment This contract position offers the rewarding chance to truly impact students' academic and social growth.
