As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing individualized educational plans, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each student's growth and development. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional modifications tailored to students' unique needs. Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies and behavior management techniques to support students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents to coordinate interventions and monitor progress through detailed documentation such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Manage classroom environments effectively by utilizing classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior, engagement, and social skills development. Integrate educational technology tools to enhance literacy education, math instruction, and communication skills for students at various developmental stages. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using standardized testing methods and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student achievements, challenges, and upcoming goals to ensure consistent support across home and school settings. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education or elementary school settings, particularly those with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavior management strategies for students with disabilities. Expertise in speech therapy techniques, literacy education, math instruction, and curriculum development tailored for diverse learners. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, parents, and other educators. Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional growth. Familiarity with assistive technologies and educational software integration to support individualized learning plans. Certification or training in behavioral health or behavioral therapy is preferred; relevant certifications in special education or early intervention are highly valued.
