We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with mild to moderate disabilities in a school-based setting in Palmdale, CA. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide specialized academic instruction based on each student's needs Modify curriculum and classroom materials to support different learning abilities Track student progress and maintain accurate records Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and school staff Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators Implement positive behavioral interventions and classroom-management strategies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements Qualifications Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild to Moderate Support Needs or an equivalent credential Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring ló Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills Ability to complete all district-required background checks and onboarding requirements

Pay:

$60.00 - $70.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
