This direct hire, full-time opportunity spans the entire 2026-2027 academic year (August 12, 2026 to June 4, 2027), working with students who have moderate to severe needs or require extensive support. You'll join a supportive educational environment where your expertise will help foster growth, independence, and achievement for each student on your caseload. Key Qualifications:

Valid Moderate/Severe credential OR Extensive Support Needs credential (California) Knowledge of best practices in special education, including IEP development and implementation Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and related service providers Dedication to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Create a positive, structured learning environment tailored to students with moderate/severe needs Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and families to maximize student progress Adapt lesson plans and materials to provide differentiated instruction Assess student growth and maintain accurate, timely records of performance and progress
