W-2 Key Responsibilities Serve as the Special Day Class teacher of record Implement and monitor IEP goals and individualized instruction Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators Develop and maintain a structured, inclusive classroom environment Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education standards School Settings & Student Populations Placements are aligned with your experience and preferences and may include: Preschool / Early Childhood SDC Elementary School SDC Middle School SDC High School / Transition Programs Students with Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe needs Support for New Graduate SDC Teachers We provide structured, hands-on support to ensure a successful first year: Ongoing mentorship from VerbaCare's clinical and education team Collaboration with site administrators and special education teams Assistance with classroom setup, routines, and role clarity Support with IEP implementation and documentation systems (e.g., SEIS, Welligent) Regular check-ins to ensure placement success and sustainability Why Join VerbaCare Educator-led organization that understands classroom realities Strong clinical and operational support system Thoughtfully matched placements based on your strengths Commitment to professional growth and long-term success
