A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.
About the Role Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is hiring a Coding & Robotics Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on technology and robotics classes for 4th-5th grade students in San Francisco. Students will explore coding, robotics, electronics, engineering, and problem-solving through guided projects using LEGO Education SPIKE Prime, BBC microbit, and Microsoft MakeCode. This is an elementary-level instructional position rather than an advanced programming role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, can confidently lead a classroom, and is comfortable learning and teaching beginner-friendly coding and robotics activities.
