Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting upper elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for the 26/27 academic year. This full-time, school-based contract position is designed for passionate educators who are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in student learning and growth. You'll work with a specialized program for students with mild to moderate needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current CTC certification with a Mild/Moderate authorization (required) Experience in a school-based setting, preferably at the elementary level Proven track record of creating inclusive, engaging, and differentiated instruction Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and support personnel
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized academic instruction to an upper elementary Special Day Class (SDC) caseload Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress Adapt general curriculum to meet students' individual learning needs Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that promotes student independence and success Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to support students' holistic development Maintain accurate records, conduct assessments, and participate in team meetings Attend professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education When you take this contract position, you'll benefit from weekly pay at $45 per hour along with a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and life), a matching 401k plan, and access to a flexible spending account.
