This role focuses on providing guidance and instruction to students with mild to moderate needs, ensuring their academic and personal success within an inclusive environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current California Educational Specialist credential required Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a school setting Deep understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiation strategies Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Dedication to advocating for students and fostering a positive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student's unique strengths and needs Deliver engaging instruction that aligns with curriculum standards and specialized requirements Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent student support Track student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting Foster a safe, supportive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and encourages student growth Participate in faculty meetings, IEP sessions, and ongoing professional development This contract opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule at a single, supportive school site, allowing you to focus your passion and expertise where it matters most.
