Key Qualifications:
Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing, or proficiency as a Braillist Strong understanding of communication modalities (ASL, Signed English, or similar) or braille transcription Ability to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and family members Detail-oriented and adaptable in delivering individualized support Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or visually impaired Transcribe educational materials into braille or assist with other adaptive formats as needed Support classroom instruction and provide accommodations to meet IEP goals Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding communication, sensory access, and adaptive technology Participate in team meetings relating to student progress and instructional strategies Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with 6-7 hours of work each day at a single campus location.
