Job Description

VerbaCare is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a CEC classroom serving students in a Mild/Moderate SDC setting in Antioch.

Key Requirements:

California Education Specialist Credential - Mild/Moderate Support Needs Experience teaching in an SDC/CEC classroom Strong classroom and behavior management skills Experience supporting students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs Able to establish a structured, positive, and safe classroom environment Experience implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior support strategies Strong collaboration skills with instructional aides, related service providers, and school staff Experienced teachers preferred. This is not an ideal position for a first-year teacher without significant classroom management experience.
