Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, preferably in an educational setting Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong collaboration skills for partnering with families, colleagues, and support staff Creative approach to problem-solving and lesson differentiation Confident classroom management abilities to encourage positive behavior Empathetic, patient, and committed to fostering an inclusive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and interventions tailored for students with autism Develop and implement effective IEPs in line with state and federal guidelines Collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions and document student progress Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to share strategies and celebrate successes Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities Foster a classroom environment that is nurturing, structured, and engaging for all learners Envision the impact you'll have, helping students at Carlson Elementary grow academically and socially while developing essential life skills.
