Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact in early childhood education as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant, supportive elementary PK-8 setting near Boulder, CO. This contract role focuses on leading both morning and afternoon preschool classrooms and providing essential services to young learners, working in collaboration with a team of dedicated professionals. You'll serve as the lead teacher for two preschool sessions each day, partnering with two skilled paraprofessionals while occupational therapy and speech-language services are delivered directly in the classroom. Assume the crucial role of case manager and service provider for up to 10 preschoolers eligible for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) support, ensuring each child's individual growth and success. CDE ECSE
(Early Childhood Special Educator) license required Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in preschool or early childhood Strong ability to manage a classroom and provide individualized instruction Confident in collaborating with paraprofessional staff and related service providers Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills Positive, patient, and passionate about making a difference in early childhood outcomes Key responsibilities: Plan and implement daily lessons and activities for AM/PM preschool sessions (up to 18 students each) Serve as both case manager and direct service provider for up to 10 ECSE students Collaborate closely with classroom paraprofessionals, occupational therapist, and speech pathologist Maintain accurate documentation and student records in compliance with regulatory requirements Communicate regularly with families and contribute to IEP meetings and goals This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 20 to October 30, 2026, with hours from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
