Job Description

Make a real difference in the lives of students with significant support needs, working onsite in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity near Brighton, CO begins August 20, 2026, and runs through June 3, 2027. Partner alongside a dedicated team, delivering meaningful instruction and specialized services that nurture growth and provide essential academic and life skills. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with a dedicated caseload at the elementary level, guiding students with significant support needs and collaborating closely with staff and families. Enjoy a workweek structured Tuesday through Friday, with no school on Mondays, allowing for an improved work-life balance.
Qualifications:
Valid CDE Special Education Teacher license is required Experience supporting students with significant support needs (SSN) at the elementary level preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and develop data-driven interventions Passionate commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and support to students with SSN in accordance with IEP goals Develop and adapt lesson plans to support diverse learning needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Monitor progress regularly, maintaining accurate records and contributing to IEP meetings Communicate effectively with families to support student success Foster an encouraging, structured, and safe classroom environment Enjoy reliable weekday hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., allowing for a consistent schedule throughout the school year.
