Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves designing and implementing individualized instructional plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment, promote student development across academic, social, and behavioral domains, and collaborate closely with families, therapists, and support staff. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and tailored to each student's unique needs. Deliver engaging lessons across core subjects such as literacy, math, and social skills, utilizing curriculum development best practices. Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate students with various disabilities, including autism, hearing impairments, and developmental delays. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavioral management techniques. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support comprehensive student development. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments. Provide tutoring, mentoring, and additional support for students requiring extra assistance in literacy education or numeracy skills. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and behavioral observations. Engage with families through regular communication to update on student achievements and coordinate interventions. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and active participation. Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, classroom management, and special education strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Childhood Development, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Valid teaching certification/license for special education or equivalent credentials. Demonstrated experience working with children with disabilities in classroom settings. Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy methods, and literacy instruction. Familiarity with IEP development processes and compliance standards. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience in curriculum development tailored for diverse learning needs. Proficiency in using assessment tools for progress monitoring and data collection. Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering a nurturing environment. Prior experience working in private schools or early childhood settings such as preschools or Montessori environments is advantageous. Pay:
$2,050.00 - $2,150.00 per week
