Occupational Therapist About the Opportunity A locally owned nonprofit organization in Colorado Springs is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to develop and oversee a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Program. This organization serves children ages 0-18 and is committed to ensuring that lack of funding is not a barrier to care, having provided more than $3 million in scholarship and pro bono services to the local community. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced OT who wants to use their clinical expertise to help build, influence, and innovate a pediatric OT program from the ground up. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team while providing essential services to children with a variety of diagnoses. Position Overview The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing pediatric OT services, supporting program development, and collaborating with other clinical professionals to create a comprehensive care environment for children and families. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on therapy and leadership opportunities. The organization provides the therapeutic equipment needed for evaluations and treatment, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to help hire and supervise OTAs as the program grows. Key Responsibilities Develop and oversee a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Program Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for children ages 0-18 Work with children with various diagnoses, including developmental disabilities and autism Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals Support caregivers by helping provide multiple services in one location Hire, train, and supervise OTAs as the program expands Maintain accurate documentation and follow all professional and clinical standards Contribute to a collaborative, child-centered, and mission-driven environment Qualifications Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Colorado Strong background and knowledge in occupational therapy Pediatric experience preferred Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, including autism, preferred Ideally 2+ years of experience working with children Ideally 1+ year of experience overseeing or training staff Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Interest in helping build and grow a pediatric OT program Schedule This position offers flexibility and allows the Occupational Therapist to set their own schedule. Compensation Pay starts at $42/hour , based on experience. All work hours are paid at the same hourly rate, including billable, non-billable, training, and administrative time.
