This dynamic contract opportunity near Monument, CO runs from August 11 through May 20, offering the chance to impact up to eight K-12 students across 15-20 hours per week. Ideal Candidates Will Have:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with students who are blind or have low vision in educational settings Ability to adapt and modify curriculum and materials for visual accessibility Strong communication skills to effectively consult with teachers, staff, and families Understanding of assistive technology and tools for visually impaired students Patience, creativity, and dedication to individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities Include:

Delivering direct instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments, according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Evaluating student needs and progress while tracking and documenting growth Recommending and implementing appropriate accommodations, modifications, and assistive devices Coordinating with general educators and support staff to create accessible classroom experiences Providing guidance and resources to families to support learning at home Attending relevant meetings and contributing to the IEP process for each student Imagine connecting with a small, diverse group of students and serving as an invaluable resource as they navigate their educational journey.
