Qualifications:

Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with students in affective needs or behavioral support programs preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with counselors, therapists, and general education teachers Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment

What You'll Do:

Develop and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' unique academic and affective needs Teach core subjects and social-emotional skills, differentiating instruction as needed Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies to promote growth Implement evidence-based interventions and behavioral supports Work closely with families, school staff, and service providers to coordinate support Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team conferences
