This contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about Affective Needs instruction and dedicated to empowering students with the skills and support they need to thrive. You'll enjoy a consistent assignment at a single elementary school, providing structure for you and continuity for your students. What we're looking for: Hold an active Colorado Teacher License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21). Experienced in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with affective needs. Comfortable collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to foster a positive learning environment. Commitment to maintaining compliance and completing time-sensitive district credentialing paperwork quickly. Skilled at adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs and facilitate their social-emotional growth. Prefer experience in an elementary school setting, but a strong background in special education is welcomed.

Key responsibilities:

Serve as the Affective Needs Teacher for a dedicated caseload at Leroy Elementary, guiding students toward academic and behavioral success. Create, modify, and implement IEP goals aligned with each student's unique strengths and challenges. Collaborate closely with school staff to develop and deliver targeted interventions and supports. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and classroom activities, ensuring compliance with state and district requirements. Engage in school meetings and team discussions to ensure holistic support for each student. This contract position is available for an immediate start and extends through October 2nd, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours at one school location.
