Job Description

Shape the future for students in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year as a resourceful and dedicated Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, providing meaningful support to K-7th grade learners. There are three in-person positions available: one dedicated to a kindergarten resource caseload, one for grades 1-2 resource, and another serving as a 7th grade resource/case manager. These roles offer a chance to engage deeply with students and collaborate with educational teams to ensure academic, behavioral, and social growth.
Desired Qualifications:
Current certification or eligibility for certification in Special Education (state requirements apply) Experience working with K-7th grade students with diverse learning needs Strong knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and modifications Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Resourceful and adaptable approach to supporting student development Prior experience in a resource setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct instruction and academic interventions to students on your caseload Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining thorough documentation Serve as a case manager, facilitating meetings and ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment This rewarding role connects you with students who benefit from dedicated support and provides a platform to make a lasting difference.
