Special Education Teacher

35 hours per week

Multiple About the Role We are seeking dedicated and experienced Special Education Teachers to support students across K-12 programs in New Britain, CT. These positions serve a variety of specialized settings, including: Pathways Program
  • Students with multiple disabilities KEY Program
  • Students with Autism Inclusion Classrooms
  • Collaborative general education environments This is a full-time school-year assignment offering a meaningful opportunity to work with diverse learners and contribute to their academic and developmental growth.
Responsibilities Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to student needs Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and district guidelines Support students in specialized programs (Pathways, KEY) and inclusion settings Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment Requirements Active Connecticut Special Education (SPED) licensure and certification Strong school-based experience working with diverse learners Ability to work effectively in multiple program models (Pathways, KEY, inclusion) Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Why Join Us Stable full-time schedule (35 hours/week) Opportunity to support impactful programs across K-12 Work with a collaborative school team committed to student success
