Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity awaits Special Education Teachers interested in impacting the lives of middle school students. This position is based in West Hartford, Connecticut, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule: 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, aside from select Wednesdays offering an early 1:15 PM release. You'll have the chance to work alongside a dedicated educational team, creating meaningful progress for students in an inclusive and supportive setting. Key Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut Special Education endorsement Minimum of two years of recent teaching experience Background working with middle school populations Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs and differentiated instruction Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction for middle school students with diverse learning needs Adapt lessons, materials, and assessments in accordance with IEP goals Regularly monitor student progress and collaborate in data-driven decision making Partner effectively with staff, families, and support services to maximize student growth Maintain documentation and adhere to district, state, and federal compliance This role offers an attractive hourly range of $38 to $43, based on experience and qualifications.
