Job Description

Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a supportive academic environment near Watertown, CT. This contract opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on students learning experiences, working collaboratively with educational staff and families to foster growth and achievement.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field Experience working with students with diverse learning needs Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Patient, flexible, and creative in adapting instruction to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized instruction for students with special needs in accordance with IEP goals Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and learning Assess student progress, make data-driven instructional adjustments, and provide timely feedback to caregivers and team members Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate students successfully into the school community Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required for compliance Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education This contract position offers a supportive work atmosphere built around student success and professional collaboration.
