Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Until Filled Bugbee seeks a dynamic, dedicated special education teacher to support the resource caseload. Knowledge of structured literacy is preferred. This position will also have evaluation responsibilities so experience with administering standardized diagnostic assessments is desired.

Requirement:

Current CT Certification (165). Please include a current resume, transcripts, copy of certification, and 3 letters of recommendation dated within the last 365 days. Excellent salary, benefits, and working conditions.
