Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification or eligible for certification in Connecticut Previous experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 3-6) preferred Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, and current special education practices Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work well in collaborative co-teaching and push-in classroom settings

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver push-in special education services within grades 3-6 classrooms Support students with diverse learning needs by modifying instruction and materials Develop and implement IEPs, progress monitoring, and appropriate documentation Partner closely with general education staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are met Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and professional team members Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Youll work Monday through Friday from 8:00am-3:30pm, providing focused instruction and hands-on support to students who need it most.
