9587160-20373 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting 5th and 6th grade students in an Inclusion Math classroom. This role is designed for a skilled Special Education Teacher to provide direct, targeted math instruction, covering a maternity leave from August 13th through December 1st. Youll be instrumental in ensuring students continue making progress while collaborating with general education teachers in a vibrant, supportive environment near the Naval Anacost Annex, DC.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience teaching math, preferably at the upper elementary or middle school level Prior work in inclusion or co-taught classroom settings strongly preferred Commitment to individualized instruction and differentiated learning strategies Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues Ability to develop and adjust IEP goals as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Co-teach and support math lessons in 5th and 6th grade inclusion classrooms Deliver one-on-one, targeted math intervention using the pull-in instructional model Assess individual student needs to tailor instruction and interventions Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to monitor student progress Implement IEP accommodations and modifications Maintain detailed records and communicate student achievements and challenges regularly Enjoy the chance to make a real difference during a crucial time for students learning math.
