This role offers an opportunity to work directly with early childhood students, providing tailored educational support to meet their special needs within the classroom environment. The assignment runs from February 17, 2026, through June 11, 2026, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week including a paid 30-minute lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to early childhood students with diverse learning needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain accurate records and comply with all educational regulations and standards Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive classroom practices

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Delaware teaching license required; candidates must submit their license and resume for consideration Preference for candidates holding dual licensure as both Special Education Teacher and Early Childhood Teacher, but possession of either license is acceptable Experience working with early childhood students with special needs preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with educators and families
