Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Empower students and make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive educational setting near Bear, DE. Multiple openings are available for dedicated professionals eager to deliver exceptional instruction to diverse K-12 learners. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, with the potential for direct hire after a 60-90 day contract period. Engage in a rewarding role from August 31, 2026, through June 11, 2027, working full-time to help students succeed.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Ability to work with K-12 students across various disabilities and learning needs Strong understanding of IEPs and the development/implementation process Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Organized, adaptable, and dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are welcome to apply
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse needs in accordance with each IEP Adapt and tailor lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and capabilities Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff Maintain accurate student records and track progress Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
