Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential support and advocacy as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming educational setting near Camden Wyoming, DE. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on delivering comprehensive special education services while supporting both students and staff onsite. As a key member of the team, you'll play a central role in ensuring effective development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and promoting a supportive, compliant, and inclusive learning environment. Desired Skills and Experience Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher Certification is required. Demonstrated strength in communication, organization, and leadership. Proven ability to coordinate and lead IEP meetings, collaborating seamlessly with parents, students, teachers, and IEP teams. Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining IEPs, with a focus on compliance and advocating for student needs. Background in providing leadership and coordination for special education services and supporting special education staff. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate special education services across the assigned caseload. Guide the development and successful implementation of IEPs. Schedule, lead, and document IEP meetings while fostering a collaborative environment. Act as an advocate for students, ensuring their needs are met and their progress is monitored. Work closely with parents, students, teachers, and multidisciplinary IEP teams. Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education.
