Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (must be current and in hand; pending permits not acceptedplease provide documentation if pending as per new Delaware DOE requirements). Experience supporting students with autism or in special education preferred. Willingness to undergo required $85 CBC fingerprinting process. Capable of assisting with classroom activities, behavior management, and student engagement. If holding an RBT credential, independent BCBA supervision outside of school hours will be necessary; this role is not classified or compensated as an RBT position.

What Youll Do:

Provide daily support to students in the Bridges program, assisting with classroom routines, activities, and behavior reinforcement. Collaborate with the lead teacher and classroom staff to support instructional and behavioral strategies tailored to students individual needs. Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support communication between students and staff. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate documentation, as needed. This position is full-time, offering 35 hours each week (Monday through Friday), with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Youll work onsite in a collaborative school environment, providing crucial continuity of care and support to students and staff throughout the maternity leave coverage period.
