Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Passionate about supporting students with visual impairments and eager to make a difference for learners across a range of grade levels? A rewarding, full-time contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Orientation and Mobility Specialist Certification. This on-site position is ideal for travel professionals who thrive working across multiple settings and want to experience life in sunny central Florida. Your home base will be the district's main office, with travel to 13 assigned schools (2-3 per day) serving a K-12 caseload of around 15-20 students. Both direct instruction and monthly consultative services are expected, providing plenty of variety throughout the academic year. Administrators are committed to working with you to customize a weekly schedule that suits your strengths and preferences. Qualifications and Desired Experience Professional FL TVI license and OMS Certification (required) Experience in school-based TVI roles strongly preferred Comfort working across multiple schools and adapting to itinerant schedules Dedication to supporting students with varying needs (K-12) Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Key Responsibilities Deliver direct and consultative itinerant services to students at multiple sites Develop and adapt individualized education plans in partnership with IEP teams Provide specialized instruction and materials to facilitate access for visually impaired learners Meet required documentation and reporting standards, including timely timesheet completion Participate in onboarding, credentialing, and district orientation Why Consider This Assignment?
