Mawson Lakes School is seeking a passionate and skilled Japanese language teacher to join our diverse primary school community. As a large school with multiple teaching space including areas separated by a creek
  • flexibility, strong organisational skills, and effective classroom management are essential, including the ability to transition efficiently between classes and locations while ensuring student safety and continuity of learning. As the Japanese Teacher at Mawson Lakes School, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality Japanese lessons aligned with the SA Curriculum across Reception to Year 6.
  • Manage smooth transitions between buildings, safely supervising students crossing the creek and shared outdoor spaces.
  • Communicate proactively with year-level teachers and support staff to coordinate timetables and minimise disruption.
  • Use strong organisational and time management skills to ensure equitable instruction across all classes.
  • Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that supports student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the school community, including PLCs, whole-school events, and family engagement.
  • Coordinate cultural experiences such as Japanese Cultural Day, the Interschool Hiragana Competition, our sister-school link with Mobara City, Japan, and Japanese shared lunch.
  • Support student progress through effective feedback, assessment, and reporting.
