About the role You teach across both skin care and nail technology, supervising students on the salon floor and preparing them for Florida licensure in both disciplines. Our Full Specialist program runs 600 hours and combines the Facial Specialist and Nail Specialist curricula, so this role suits someone comfortable teaching both sides. What you'll do Deliver theory instruction following the approved program curriculum across skin and nails Supervise students performing services on clients on the salon floor and in the treatment area Demonstrate facials, skin analysis, extractions, hair removal, manicuring, pedicuring, and nail enhancement technique Teach skin and nail anatomy and disorders, and the contraindications that mean a client must be referred to a physician Evaluate practical work and keep accurate records of hours, attendance, and progress Prepare students for the Florida state board examination Enforce sanitation, chemical safety, ventilation, and professional conduct standards across both disciplines Contact students who miss class to understand why and help them get back on track What we're looking for Active Florida Full Specialist or cosmetology license in good standing — and any instructor credential Florida requires to teach in a licensed school At least 3 years of professional experience across skin care and nail services Ability to move between two disciplines in the same session and keep both groups working Patience and the ability to explain technique to students at very different skill levels Dependable attendance and professional presentation Nice to have Prior teaching or mentoring experience Makeup, lash and brow, or advanced nail enhancement experience
