Incorporate educational technology, learning tools, and assistive devices to enhance learning experiences across subjects including literacy, math, science, and social skills. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate interventions like speech therapy and recreational therapy. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies for students with diverse needs. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss goals, and provide resources for continued support at home. Ensure compliance with educational laws, regulations, and standards related to special education, including documentation of student progress and IEP goals. Skills Extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and related conditions. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional design, and educational compliance standards. Proficiency in using educational technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes. Skilled in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education, preschool settings, or private school environments. Expertise in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and foster a safe learning environment. Ability to adapt teaching methods for students who are deaf or visually impaired or require specialized accommodations. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience implementing speech therapy techniques, literacy education strategies, math instruction, and physical education adaptations. Knowledge of behavioral health practices including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy approaches. Passion for mentoring students with disabilities while promoting their social-emotional well-being.
