This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalized, compassionate care to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory care challenges. As a vital member of our caregiving community, you will deliver dedicated support that enhances independence, safety, and quality of life. This paid summer position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience in the health and social care fields. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one companionship and support tailored to each individual's unique needs and preferences Monitor and observe individuals' conditions, behavioral changes, and overall well-being, ensuring safety at all times Document observations, care activities, and any incidents accurately to ensure seamless communication within the care team Requirements Prior experience in home & community care settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and basic first aid (including CPR certification) Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities; autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality Flexibility to work varied hours during the summer season; a compassionate attitude and patience are essential Valid certifications in CPR or first aid are preferred; experience in nursing or home health is a plus Embark on a rewarding journey this summer by becoming a trusted companion who makes a real difference.
