Job Description

Looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of exceptional learners? A contract position is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained ESE classroom in a supportive school environment. This role is located in the Jacksonville, FL (North West region) area, and candidates will be working full-time, on-site, at a single schoolprimarily with elementary-aged students, although there may be flexibility for those with other grade preferences. As the classroom leader, you will work with students exhibiting varying learning levels and exceptionalities. Youll provide a nurturing, structured environment for growth and learning, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team passionate about student success.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Active Florida ESE certification Florida K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification Proven experience working in a self-contained classroom setting Current fingerprint clearance accessible via the AHCA Clearinghouse or willingness to complete new fingerprinting requirements Readiness to participate in an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen interview Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintaining a classroom environment that supports diverse learners social, emotional, and academic needs Monitoring student progress and documenting growth Collaborating with general education colleagues and support staff Communicating effectively with families regarding student progress Travel professionals will appreciate: Steady full-time hours (35 per week, Monday through Friday) Support through credentialing, including fingerprint and JLA badge processing Placement support that values your experience and expertise Dont miss this chance to make a positive, lasting difference in the education community.
