Job Description

The Goddard School in Ponte Vedra Beach is looking for a Lead Teacher in our Two-Year-Old classroom to join our team of highly talented, educated, & passionate teachers! The ideal candidates would have 3+ years working with young children (Infants - 4 yrs. old).Completion of the DCF 45 hours and CDA/Equivalent at the time of hire is preferred, but not required. We pride ourselves in being the premiere preschool in the Ponte Vedra Beach community where all children feel loved, respected and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential. We foster a positive working atmosphere as we focus on the culture within our school by providing hands on support in the classroom from management, working with our teachers on individual professional goals for growth, various teacher appreciation events throughout the year, and creating a strong work family environment. We offer top pay as well as quarterly bonuses for full-time employees! Full-Time employees qualify for our amazing benefits after 90 days which include the following: Healthcare (50% employer contribution), Vision and dental insurance as well as supplemental insurance packages (i.e. Medical Gap, Short/Long term Disability, Critical Illness Accident policies, etc.). 10 Days of Annual PTO, Holiday pay, and Winter Break Pay All teachers at The Goddard School Ponte Vedra Beach are responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, our teachers are responsible to work together with their co-teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
Some Responsibilities Include:
Preparing & Implementing Weekly Lesson Plans (Provided by our Wonder of Learning curriculum) Adapting program activities to meet the individual needs of the children. Conducting Assessments for your students & creating a portfolio to be sent home at the end of the school year Meeting the individual needs of children within your care Encouraging, through positive modeling, feelings of empathy and respect for others and the environment. Cultural and ethnic differences are respected. Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff. Maintaining a safe, healthy, nurturing learning environment. Building relationships with the children and family within your care. Attending Staff Meetings as needed Maintaining all DCF & School Readiness rules and regulations Maintaining all Goddard Systems requirements If this is you, please submit your resume today!
