In this role, you will create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay a strong foundation for children's future learning experiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active participation among young children. Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management and classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and a safe learning space. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development using standardized testing methods to tailor instruction appropriately. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate lesson plans, attendance records, and other documentation in accordance with licensing requirements. Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies. Certification or training in early childhood education or preschool teaching is preferred; relevant coursework or degrees are advantageous. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and behavior management techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners using strong interpersonal skills. First aid and CPR certification are required or must be obtained upon hire; ongoing training is encouraged. Experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education programs is a plus. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and documentation duties. Passion for fostering a positive learning environment that supports individual growth and development in young children.
