Rockdale County Public Schools is currently looking for Special Education Teachers for elementary, middle, and high school.
Requirements:
Preferred candidates already hold a clear and renewable teaching certificate in Special Education General or Adaptive Curriculum (preferably from the GaPSC). Candidates holding a bachelor's degree with interest in becoming a certified teacher in special education will be considered and are encouraged to apply. In order to qualify, applicants
MUST ALREADY BE ENROLLED
in a program leading to special education certification in the state of Georgia. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to address students' academic and social-emotional needs.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and support services to ensure student success.
