Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to a rewarding contracted role supporting students onsite in the Columbus, GA area. This opportunity involves working with students served by local schools, where your skills will help empower and facilitate access to education for visually impaired learners. As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in this setting, you'll benefit from full-time hours (at least 37.5 hours per week), with some flexibility to consider part-time arrangements depending on experience and district needs. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will extend through May 21st, 2027, including possible pre- and post-planning days.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required Experience providing direct services to students with visual impairments in educational settings Confidence in maintaining thorough daily service logs and documentation Flexibility and openness to discuss your grade/age group preferences and past caseload during the interview process In-person/onsite availability; no virtual-only ("VOCO") candidates for this role
