Key Qualifications:
Current and active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired in an educational setting Ability to adapt to different age groups and educational levels, with placement to be determined based on experience and candidate preference Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to maintain accurate daily service logs Willingness to work onsite (remote/virtual not considered for this role)
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional and consultative services to students with visual impairments Collaborate with other educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Complete required documentation and service logs daily to ensure compliance and quality tracking Participate in district meetings and ongoing professional development as needed Engage in pre- and post-planning activities as required by the school calendar This full-time opportunity offers consistent hours (at least 37.5 per week), with a possibility for part-time arrangements based on caseload and availability. Assignment runs through May 21st, 2027, aligning with the academic calendar, with the potential for additional planning days.
