Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract A full-time Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students is needed for the upcoming school year at a school location in Hamilton, Georgia. This contract position runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, offering an opportunity to work across multiple school buildings within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Manage and deliver services effectively across a potentially multi-building caseload. Maintain daily logs to document services and student progress in compliance with district requirements. Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing education is required. Experience working with DHH students across various age groups is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and caseload demands effectively. Commitment to maintaining detailed records and reports as part of standard workflow. Willingness to work onsite and support district initiatives directly.
