Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Shape the future of student success as an onsite IRR Teacher, supporting an engaging caseload of 15-18 students in a vibrant middle school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide targeted instruction, foster student growth, and collaborate closely with dedicated educators, all while ensuring that learning plans are tailored to each student's unique needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Georgia SPED teaching certification (GaPSC) or equivalent credential Proven experience in school-based special education environments Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance Demonstrated skill in adapting curriculum and providing individualized instruction Effective classroom management and strong communication abilities Collaborative approach, working effectively with general education teachers and support staff Commitment to a full-time onsite presence and reliable daily transportation
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver innovative, individualized instruction to meet diverse learner needs in a middle school resource setting Implement and monitor IEPs, ensuring student goals are addressed and progress is documented accurately Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusion and best practices Maintain a supportive classroom culture that encourages engagement and academic growth Communicate progress and strategies with families and educational teams Keep thorough records and contribute to state compliance documentation What to
