A full-time Registered Nurse is needed to deliver essential onsite nursing care for a small caseload of 510 students, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule, running from 8:10 AM to 4:10 PM, with a contract extending through May 2027.

Key Requirements:

Valid and active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CPR/BLS certification Prior experience in pediatric or school-based nursing is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to support students with critical, complex, and medically fragile conditions Skills in G-tube feedings, trach care (including suctioning), and medication administration are preferred Capable of managing seizure/epilepsy protocols and monitoring Excellent collaboration and communication abilities for working with educators, families, and healthcare providers Reliable transportation and full-time onsite availability required

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized nursing care for students with diverse medical needs, such as G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and seizure monitoring Manage and administer medications, following all safety and documentation protocols Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and external healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care Provide emergency response and intervention as necessary Maintain accurate charts and medical records in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements Educate and support staff regarding individual student health concerns and appropriate interventions Work at the forefront of school nursing while making a vital difference for students requiring specialized care.
