This full-time contract position serves a self-contained, lower functioning functional curriculum classroom, with direct support from two paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician. Based near Ringgold, GA, the role runs from ASAP through May 26th, 2027, with an opportunity for contract renewal based on strong performance. What you'll need to be successful: Active Special Education GaPSC Certification, including SPED content through 8th grade Adapted Curriculum Endorsement (district will consider candidates with pending credentials) Experience or strong interest in working within a self-contained classroom Proven ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and behavior technicians Understanding of differentiated instruction and functional academic programming Strong communication and documentation skills Your responsibilities will include: Delivering individualized special education instruction based on IEP goals Developing and adapting functional curriculum resources for diverse learners Collaborating closely with classroom paraprofessionals and support staff Collecting and maintaining progress data for each student Establishing a positive, structured environment that encourages student engagement and growth Participating in IEP meetings, parent communications, and team planning sessions This opportunity provides you with a stable, consistent schedule (37.5 - 40 hrs per week), the support of an experienced classroom team, and the potential to extend your contract beyond the current school year.
