In this position, you will oversee and coordinate the children's personal care, hygiene, learning activities, specialized programs, and positive guidance. In your day-to-day as the Enrichment Teacher, you will also keep the director informed on a timely basis of pertinent issues regarding staff, children, families, and the program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and Curriculum Plans and implements Science and Spanish curriculum activities and lesson plans as per Ivy Kids Standards. Uses positive guidance techniques consistent with state regulations, and counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise. Practice, models, and promotes Conscious Discipline. Assist with organizing center events such as holiday programs, Spanish programs, international festivals, etc. Ensure supply lists are submitted on time and classroom inventory is adequate at all times and related to the curriculum monthly themes. Interactions with Parents, Staff, and Director Observes, records, and reports to the Director any significant behavior of children or staff that could adversely affect the quality of care provided. Actively participates in center events, staff training sessions, meetings, and programs. Health and Safety Understands and implements all Critical procedures and infant care procedures. Implements appropriate procedures in the event of an emergency Administers CPR/First aid if needed Properly maintains educational materials and equipment Ensures all sanitization procedures are followed as regulated by childcare licensing Keeps the classroom and other play areas safe, neat, and clean. May need to transport children to and from school and the field trip venue. (14 passenger non-CDL bus) General Plans and implements the Ivy Kids curriculum activities Understand and adhere to Ivy Kids Personnel Policies Attend staff meetings and trainings. Qualifications High energy and self-motivated individual Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds. Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.
