As a Social Studies Teacher, you'll help students understand the world, their role within it, and their responsibility as informed global citizens. Through engaging, standards-aligned instruction, you'll connect past and present, encouraging students to think critically about not only what can be done, but what should be done - preparing them for leadership in an evolving world.

What You'll Do Deliver standards-aligned Social Studies instruction using FAST-adopted curriculum and Georgia standards Integrate current events to connect historical concepts to modern civic, global, and social issues Design lessons that promote civic responsibility, democratic values, global awareness, and ethical reasoning Use inquiry-based learning to foster empathy, purpose, and real-world problem solving Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Foster critical thinking, discussion, collaboration, and respectful dialogue Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Support students' academic, social, and emotional development Guide students in developing cultural awareness and global citizenship Work With Others Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and school leadership Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers Participate in school-wide initiatives, programs, and events Professional Expectations Support FAST's mission, vision, and values Complete required training, certifications, and professional learning Follow school policies and demonstrate professionalism and flexibility What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required) Degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field (preferred) Valid Georgia Teaching Certification in Social Studies AND ELA (required) TAG certification (preferred) 1+ year of successful classroom teaching experience (preferred) Fulton Academy of Science & Technology is an equal opportunity employer.
