You'll serve as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive, resource model—balancing both pull-out direct instruction and push-in classroom support. Your caseload will consist of 8-10 students, all benefiting from your expertise as they work toward their academic and social goals.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate LBS1 endorsement. If holding a comparable out-of-state license, refer to the ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) for guidance on transferring credentials. Experience working with students in a resource setting providing both academic and social/emotional support. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction for K-4 students within a resource model, blending pull-out and push-in services. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Collaborate regularly with general educators and related service providers. Provide academic interventions, behavioral support, and progress monitoring. Establish supportive and structured classroom routines. Maintain communication with parents and contribute to IEP meetings. This onsite-only role provides a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks each day.
