Desired Qualifications:

Possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement. Active Illinois Special Education certification. Experience teaching Math and ELA at the middle or high school level (preferred). Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills. Dedicated to supporting students with a variety of learning needs in an inclusive environment. Effective communicator with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in Math and ELA to assigned special education caseloads. Adapt and individualize curriculum for students with diverse learning profiles. Collaborate with school staff, support personnel, and families to ensure students' IEP goals are met. Manage and document student progress, assessments, and required paperwork accurately. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom climate. Provide coverage for two essential timeframes: Middle School (Instructional Math and ELA): approximately Nov. 20, 2026 March 10, 2027. High School (Instructional Math, ELA): approximately Feb. 4, 2027 May 7, 2027.
