Qualifications & Experience:

State certification to teach students with visual impairments (TVI) Proven experience or coursework related to working with visually impaired students in educational settings Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, educators, and support staff Ability to modify curriculum and materials based on individual needs Knowledge of assistive technology and Braille literacy

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct, individualized instruction to one visually impaired student to enhance learning and independence Develop and adapt lesson plans in accordance with IEP goals and state standards Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to integrate accommodations and modifications into the general education environment Support progress tracking and reporting, maintaining clear and thorough documentation Consult with families and team members to promote consistent strategies and reinforcement across settings
